The OPM provides the primary operations interface between the ODM factories, development engineering, Marketing/Sales, and our Product Line Team (PLT) for new and existing products. " n$ L7 C3 W- q# U+ @
Responsibilities include:2 t" F" v6 E% d; F* D4 h6 C) w: q* h
- Operations Owner/Leader of their product(s) – Prototype through End of Life 3 O) ~3 _9 Q6 t6 v( @- Ensure all Operations Groups are fully engaged with new products. This includes manufacturing engineering, manufacturing test, factory management, logistics, materials, packaging, quality, finance and senior management 9 n6 l# v, x) h f- Attend and Drive ECO meeting for their products ; j0 Y1 K" W, W" U, y% Q) w- Single Operations point of contact for Engineering, Firmware, Manufacturing Partners (ODM/JDM) and Sales( Q- Z+ o7 T) c) U: M3 Y
- Provide communications; Customer Meetings, deep Dives, QBRs, and Launch planning with Customers 2 O2 K% v3 v) Z7 ?1 T- Monitor & Track KEY Program Metrics: Product cost, Yields –MFG Process, Field Performance, and Forecasts vs Actuals 8 |' {: s( u# f) I7 X' r% J- Operations Team meetings for New Products in Development: Host, Document, and assign action items % X8 t I: U* {' r/ {- Form Problem Action Teams as required to resolve specific issue 3 m; K' |6 ~& B- b- Generate and maintain operations planning documents for new programs( x' ?7 Q( j1 n5 @" H
-Work with Early Material Deployment (EMD) team during proto phase of products to ensure availability of critical pre-production units$ r* E% V* Z' a; ]/ L+ \/ N" Q
- Generate & implement product launch & transition plans 0 ^" v4 s: f- ~5 |
Requirements/Qualifications (Education), n9 K( C9 e9 Q) C1 Z& _
- Bachelor’s degree w/5 or more years work experience 5 H! o5 `" U8 o6 f; P
- 5 or more years experience in NPI and/or production Project/Program Management. Proven ability to launch complex products in an outsourced environment ! y+ ? W! m8 n- D
- 3-5 years work experience in one of the following: Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Test, Materials, Factory Management
