As Taiwan is leading the development of integrated circuit technology (ICT) in the world, this workshop would like to promote the focus on bio-inspired systems and prosthetic devices. Integrated systems mimicking biology have been useful in applications like real-time processing of visual and auditory signals, or intelligent sensing of biomedical signals. Contradictorily, the better understanding on biological systems is important for inspiring novel ICT, as well as for developing more user-friendly prosthetic devices for people with disability. In light of these sprouting activities, this workshop invites both international and domestic researchers to share their latest findings in the following topics:
The workshop will be held on November 10th to 12th, 2010 in the International Conference Hall, the National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. The workshop is open to all researchers and students, in a hope that all attendees of the workshop will learn the latest issues of the inter-disciplinary research field, exchange their research findings with invited speakers, and discuss potential collaborations. The program and the introduction of invited speakers are detailed in Conference Program and General Information, respectively.
