Responsibilities:
0 ]$ X. p8 G4 X( C5 l6 H; n3 ^The imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels.
! d% Y( f8 A0 W, e& `0 O6 ]# h; I9 U$ k) {
1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms.
7 Q& K$ Q. e. ?9 M u2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation.
- w/ W/ M" s5 }1 `6 h. u3. Design in machine vision such as statistical pattern classification, neural networking, scene analysis, facial recognition algorithms
, X* {) H: j1 H5 v4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules.
7 O$ p5 a% l0 R8 c8 p5. Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems; Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors.

1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields
0 p: v$ x# O$ |: M5 i3 p2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline
6 p- C% U" e, Q4 @8 Z9 r3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline 2 m( i+ I0 s# n
4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus
4 c3 _6 t: u; b% `3 L) Y) I$ q5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus % I7 C3 Y6 K* Y% ^% j
6. Team player with good communication and presentation skills. , X) E: X- k _ N9 {. L9 ?8 J* m
