* u' u" r1 [6 [7 Q2 g, M6 IThis paper explores a new trend in cloud services and terminal devices. This new trend is characterized by the marriage of mobile applications with cloud computing. This implies moving the support of mobile applications to the cloud to allow cloud services be available to
mobile devices independent of their operating systems (iPhone, Android, Blackberry etc.) This also implies simplifying the terminal device design using thin client or web-based interfaces with the enhancement of wireless connectivity disruption tolerance. Both technical and marketing challenges that need to be considered in developing mobile cloud services and devices are explored and discussed in the paper.
